Team Bodog Players

Team Bodog consists of four popular poker players that endorse the Bodog poker site. These players can be seen at high stake cash games, televised tournaments, and frequently playing the tables at Bodog.

Quite often you will see members of Team Bodog on the following poker television shows that include: High Stakes Poker on the Game Show Network, NBC’s Poker After Dark, WSOP on ESPN and throughout the World Poker Tour seasons that play on a variety of networks. Below is each team member and a short bio of their poker history.

David Williams – June 9th, 1980, Arlington, Texas.

David had an interesting story on how he began his poker career, which involved being banned from Magic: the gathering tournaments after he was caught cheating from marking his cards. During his one year suspension he started playing poker online and quickly learned how to become a winning player at high stakes. Once his suspension was over he continued to play Magic and won a few tournaments, however his main focus was on poker, which he believed was where the money was at.

The 2004 World Series of Poker was where Williams’ first major break took place after he won a seat to the Main Event after qualifying from an online poker site. He ended up finishing second place next to Greg Raymer and took home a massive second place prize of $3.5 million.

Evelyn Ng – September 14th, 1975, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Evelyn has been in the gambling industry from as long as she can remember. At the age of 14 she was playing pool for money, which lead her to find other ways to make money including dealing black jack and poker by the age of 17. During her days of dealing cards she met and dated Daniel Negreanu and the two of them advanced each others poker careers by learning each others strategies.

Throughout her poker career she has appeared on television several times and her most memorable appearance was when she finished second place to Jennifer Harman during the World Poker Tour circuit in 2003. Evelyn also had a short stint on Criss Angel Mindfreak where Criss attempted to psychologically persuaded Evelyn to pick a losing hand from several face open and blind cards.

Evelyn has a career tournament winnings that exceed $300,000.

Jean Robert Bellande – September 17th, 1970, Long Island, New York

Once you meet Jean Robert or see him on a poker television show you’ll never forget him, since he is very aggressive and tends to have a loud voice throughout his table banter. His first big score was in 2005 at the World Series of Poker Circuit Event, where he finished third place and won $210,900. A week after his first major score he went on to win first place at the 2005 Winnin the Green tournament, where he earned $148,000.

Jean Robert is not known for his poker skills as much as he is known from being a contestant on Survivor: China. He finished 8th place after being voted out by his team Hae Da Fung. Other television appearances include glimpses on the WPT and WSOP events as well when he had a seat at the WPT Bad Boys of Poker II invitational only event.

As of 2008, Jean-Robert has a career total winnings that exceed $1 million.

Justin Bonomo – September 30th, 1985, Las Vegas, Nevada

There is a lot of bad blood among many poker players and Justin Bonomo, as he was publicly caught cheating via multi-accounting. Which meant he was entering tournaments under multiple accounts which gave the talented poker player a even greater edge. During the time he was multi-accounting he was 18 years old and completely regrets what he has done. He has made several public apologies and many players are torn about whether they should forgive him or not. However, he seems to be gaining respect as he is absolutely one of the best tournament poker players around.
